BIOGRAPHY

Sarah Bryant studied art as an undergraduate at Vassar College and completed an M.F.A. in the Book Arts Program at University of Alabama in 2008. She has taught at Wells College and the Arts University, Bournemouth, UK. She is currently an Assistant Professor of Book Arts at the University of Alabama.
She is known for her conceptual approach to art and her work often features innovative means of data visualization in order to explore a subject artistically. Bryant’s work can be found in many institutions, including the Art Institute of Chicago Flaxman Library, Harvard University Houghton Library, Yale University Haas Arts Library, the Library of Congress, and elsewhere. Her book Biography was awarded the 2011 MCBA Prize from the Minnesota Center for Book Arts and the 2010 Award for Artistic Excellence at the Pyramid Atlantic Book Fair.
