Boreas Fine Art will be exhibiting NEW YORK ARTISTS at the ABAA/ILAB New York International Antiquarian Book Fair.  Please stop by Booth A-11 in order to see the books shown below:

As a leader in the exhibition and private sales of post-war and contemporary artists’ books, prints, and editions, we are happy to announce the we will be exhibiting a wide variety of modern and contemporary artists whose work challenges the constraints of any single artistic medium.

With this exhibition Boreas Fine Art explores the strong and direct connections between Conceptual Art and the art of the book. Taking the form of a scroll, codex, score, patterned broadside, leporello, audio recording, manuscript sketchbook, or most recently as an electronic file, the book may be the final irreducible essence of conceptual art: an idea without a fixed physical object.

Boreas Fine Art will be exhibiting at the RBMS 2017 Conference . We are sponsoring the Thursday afternoon seminar “Collecting in the Heartland: Regional Book Arts,” with panelists Garth Reese, Elspeth Healey, Kevin O’Sullivan, Roger Myers, and Lyn Korenic.

RBMS is a the Rare Books and Manuscripts Section of the Association of College and Research Libraries, a division of the American Library Association.

Boreas Fine Art will be exhibiting at the ABAA/ILAB California International Antiquarian Book Fair.

With this exhibition Boreas Fine Art will present twenty-four recently acquired books: some newly published and others iconic works from the post-war and contemporary period.

With this exhibition Boreas Fine Art continues its presentation of artists’ books made by artists who initially established their reputations with artistic media other than books.

This exhibition features the work of some of the finest book artists currently working today in the western United States or Canada.
