In this edition of King Lear the spelling, lineation, use of italics, and punctuation follow closely the printing of Shakespeare’s First Folio in 1623.  The text was printed by Michael Alpert at the Theodore Press in Bangor, Maine, and the woodcuts by Claire Van Vliet were printed by the artist at the Janus Press. The birch boards were individually decorated by Van Vliet who also designed the binding.

This edition is limited to 160 copies signed by the artist and encased in a handmade slipcase and chemise.
